A realistic private Napa wine tour from San Francisco may begin with a 9:00 AM hotel pickup, followed by a first tasting around 10:30 or 11:00 AM in southern Napa or Yountville. For many guests, the best structure is two or three winery experiences plus lunch. CHANDON is a stop for guests who enjoy sparkling wine. Its Signature Tasting introduces the winery's sparkling wine style during a guided, approximately 90-minute terrace experience. The winery currently lists this tasting at $65 per guest.
For a different selection, the Pinnacle Tasting features wines from the Étoile collection and a limited-release Cabernet Sauvignon. This approximately 90-minute experience is listed at $89 per guest. Both options can be incorporated into an itinerary that includes time in Yountville.
Alpha Omega Winery
Alpha Omega offers a Rutherford estate setting with vineyard views, fountains and the Mayacamas Mountains in the background. Its Terrace Tasting lasts approximately 90 minutes and is currently listed from $75 per guest.

Beringer Vineyards
Beringer combines wine tasting with the history of its St. Helena estate. The approximately 75-minute Estate Tour & Tasting includes the historic Rhine House, wine caves and a seated tasting of single-vineyard wines. It is currently listed at $95 per guest.

How does the six-hour minimum work for a Napa wine tour?
Napa wine tours have a six-hour minimum. Service time runs from your scheduled pickup to your final drop-off and includes driving to and from Napa, travel between stops and waiting during tastings or meals. Trips starting and ending in San Francisco have no separate travel-time charge, and SFDRIVEN does not charge garage-to-garage fees. For pickup locations more than a 30-minute drive from San Francisco, an additional travel-time charge may apply and will be specified in your quote. Time beyond the booked hours is billed in 30-minute increments at the agreed hourly rate. The six-hour minimum is a minimum booking duration; your selected wineries, dining plans and traffic may require a longer reservation.
Can you coordinate transportation around our winery reservations?
We plan your chauffeur itinerary around confirmed winery and restaurant reservations, allowing time for each experience and travel between stops. With substantial advance notice, SFDRIVEN can also assist with arranging reservations for an additional fee, subject to availability and each venue’s booking requirements. Reservation assistance does not guarantee access to wineries such as Opus One. Assistance fees are confirmed before we proceed; tasting charges, dining costs and any required deposits are separate from transportation.
Is there room in the vehicle for wine cases we purchase?
Space for wine purchases depends on your selected vehicle, passenger count and the size and number of bags you bring. Tell us how many guests are traveling, your luggage requirements and approximately how many wine cases you expect to purchase so we can recommend a suitable sedan, SUV or Sprinter van. Please confirm these details before booking, especially if your wine tour includes an airport transfer.
What vehicle should I request for a Napa wine day?
A Business Sedan seats up to 3 passengers and 3 bags — ideal for a couple or small party traveling light. A Full-Size SUV seats up to 6 passengers and 6 bags, suiting most families and small groups with wine purchases. A Sprinter Van seats up to 14 passengers and 14 bags for larger groups. Share your passenger count, luggage and anticipated wine purchases before booking so we can recommend a vehicle with suitable seating and cargo capacity.
Are bridge tolls and gratuity included in the quoted rate?
Bridge tolls and all fees are included in your quoted rate. Gratuity is left entirely to your discretion and is never added automatically.
Can the same driver cover Napa and Sonoma in one day?
Yes — one driver and vehicle can cover both valleys in a single day. Build in extra drive time between the two, since they sit roughly 45 minutes apart depending on route.
Should I book a point-to-point transfer or hourly service for Napa?
A point-to-point transfer is the right fit when the trip is simply airport or city to a single destination, such as a straight SFO to Napa car service run to your hotel. Hourly service is generally the better choice once the day includes multiple wineries, restaurants, or flexible waiting between stops.

For reservations booked internationally, changes or cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time, in the country where the reservation was made.
